Romanian-French Conference Co-Organized by the Center

The Center for Research in Communication co-organized the 17th annual bi-lateral Romanian-French conference, La communication entre logiques marchandes et logiques solidaires. The conference annually takes place in June (this year 11-12 June), and is traditionally co-organized by the University of Bucharest, the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, and the University of Lyon 2, plus their affiliated research centers (ELICO Research Group (Equipe de Recherche de Lyon en Sciences de l’Information et de la Communication), Center of Media Studies and Communication Technologies, Center for Research in Communication.


The topics debated were grouped around two major subjects: ethical models and figures of solidarity. This year’s general topic brought together researchers from more than universities, among which University of Bucharest, National School of Political and Administrative Studies, Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Academy of Economic Studies of Bucharest, University of Piteşti, University of Constanţa (Romania), University of Lyon2, University of Dijon, University of Hâvre, University of Montpellier, University of Neuchâtel, University of Toulon (France), University of Rabat (Morocco), University of Bejaia (Algeria) etc.

The keynote speakers of the conference represented each university involved in the coordination of the organization. Dr. Ioan Drăgan, representing the College of Sociology and Social Assistance, and the initiator of the conference tradition, gave a keynote address on the importance of international academic relations and the importance of tradition in the development of communication sciences research field.
