ERA-NET International Projects

On April 29th, in the series of conferences Thursday meetings, Dr. Diana Cismaru gave a lecture on the ERA-NET International Projects. Dr. Cismaru is part of an international consortium involved in such a project on the topic of Fenco: Scrutinizing the Impact on CCS Communication on the General and Local Public. The partners involved in the project represent six countries: Nederland, Great Britain, Germany, Norway, Greece, and Romania.

Dr. Diana Cismaru presented not only the results of the research the team project conducted in all six countries, but also important issues related to being a part of an ERA-NET projects, the challenges, the benefits, the risked associated with an international project.

The research findings showed important differences among the six countries, in both public opinion, and level of information in the population with regard to the topic. Dr. Cismaru conducted the research team in Romania, together with another colleague at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, Dr. Loredana Ivan. They cooperated with the other Romanian partners, GeoEcoMar (Institute of Maritime Geology), and ISPE (Institute of Energetic Projections).

Diana Cismaru also presented to the audience possible strategies and approaches to becoming a part of an international research team, and the importance of ERA-NET International Projects in the development of research in emergent European democracies.

Fellow professors at the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, as well as doctoral student in Communication Sciences participated at the conference.
