Professor Alejandro Parra from Buenos Aires Addresses Psychology Department Students

The Center for Research in Communication was the host of a conference approaching a less ordinary topic. Monday, March 29, Argentinean professor Alejandro Parra gave a lecture on The Psychoanalytic Approach of Paranormal Experiences at NSPAS. The host of the event was Dr. Mihaela Minulescu, who invited professor Parra, from Universidad Abierta Interamericana, Buenos Aires, Argentine to address students in the Psychology department of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations.

The Institute of Paranormal Psychology (IPP) in Buenos Aires is an educational center dedicated to the scientific study of the paranormal/anomalous events, in life and lab, following the Rhinean method, established in 1994. Dr. Parra largely presented the Institute, offering details on the institute it-self, and the services it provides to the community, as well as a profile of the persons treated in the institute, as patients. He also presented some clinical cases and discussed them with the audience.

A large audience participated in the event, students in the Psychology Department, as well as professors and graduate students of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations.
