Paper Presented at Conference in USA
Doctoral Student at Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, Qingmei Qing, presented a research conducted with Dr. Nicoleta Corbu (first author of the paper), executive director of the Center for Research in Communication, and Dr. Lee B. Becker, director of the James M. Cox Jr. Center for International Mass Communication Training and Research, Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Georgia, USA.
The paper focused on the fact that voter registration list as can be used to generate samples both for mail and telephone surveys that reflect the characteristics of the larger list of registered voters in communities.
The research was conducted in late 2008 and early 2009, while Dr. Corbu was a Fulbright scholar at the James M. Cox Jr. Center for International Mass Communication Training and Research.
The paper was presented at Southern Association for Public Opinion Research on October 8 and 9 in Raleigh, North Carolina. About 80 researchers attended the conference. Dr. Lee B. Becker joined Qingmei Qing for the presentation.
